Kyoto has many tourist spots you should visit to appreciate beautiful seasonal changes.
Listed below are only some examples.

Elegance of the Ancient Capital Exquisite in Each Season

Our hotel is near the Horikawa-Gojo crossing and about 10 minutes’ walk to Nishi-Hongan-ji Temple.
Conveniently situated for a tour around Kyoto, we offer easy access to Kyoto Station, Shijo Station and Arashiyama.

Kawaramachi area

Temples, shrines, shopping and dining, Kawaramachi has it all, and a day is not enough to fully explore what it has to offer!
Come July, the area hosts the Gion Festival, one of Kyoto's three major festivals, and the special ambience is enjoyable to visitors, too.
Its central location also makes Kawaramachi an ideal base for exploring other parts of Kyoto.

Saga and Arashiyama areas

Arashiyama is Kyoto's undisputed autumn foliage-sightseeing destination. The trees are illuminated at night, making evening visits a must as well.
Arashiyama's photogenic bamboo groves are ideal for kimono-clad strolls and rickshaw rides.

Gion and Higashiyama

The north-south Hanami-koji Street, perpendicular to Shijo-dori Street, is the main thoroughfare of the Gion area.
The paving stones of Hanami-koji are also picturesque in rainy weather, exuding an ambience unique to Kyoto.
Well-known visitor destinations such as Kiyomizudera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Kodaiji Temple and Kenninji Temple show different faces each season of the year.

Kamigamo and Kibune areas

Kibune is a popular summer destination because it is slightly cooler than the city center, and because of its atmosphere of spirituality and other-worldliness.
Kamigamo Shrine and Imamiya Shrine attract worshippers seeking spirituality and luck in romance. Both are served by buses, which stop directly in front of them.

Fushimi and Uji areas

Fushimi, home to Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine famous for its rows of vermillion torii gates, is also a major center of sake production, which takes advantage of the excellent water available locally.
In addition to leisurely sake brewery tours, the townscape of Fushimi and its historical ambience can also be enjoyed from canal boats inspired by the river barges of olden times.
Another local must-see is Tofukuji Temple, which ranks among Kyoto's top three autumn foliage-sightseeing destinations.
